Dubbo

Dubbo is situated approximately 400 kilometres north west of Sydney. It is a major regional city servicing a vast area in the Central and Western areas of New South Wales.

The city is strategically positioned at the intersection of the Newell and Mitchell Highways approximately halfway between Brisbane and Melbourne. It is also well accommodated by rail and air transport services.

Major industries in Dubbo include the agricultural sector, transport, tourism and government departments.

There is a large number of attractive tourist destinations within Dubbo and it’s surrounding areas, in particular the world known Taronga Western Plains Zoo.

The current population of Dubbo is approximately 40,000 people and the centre serves a broader catchment area of approximately 120,000 people.
